I don't even remember when exactly I went Bali with Jeremy, that's how much a procrastinator I am! Okay, so I checked, and it was August. I'm hoping this is going to be a start to all the events I want to blog about! Top on the list are the trip to Brisbane to surprise Ming for her 21st and korkor's wedding that was just last weekend! I know I'm gonna forget all the details once I finally get down to it. But it's okay, I shall just refer to Ming's blog, which she has been updating religiously at glazemyday.wordpress.com!
A snapchat video for a grand total of two followers, ming and xinyi! This was the very start of our trip, had to take a bus to the plane!
Arrived in Bali! The airport itself was photo worthy! We were being pestered by a private car driver before and after we took this photo. We just ignored him and took selfies til we were satisfied. I can't remember if we eventually took his car, we might have! =X We probably bargained for a cheaper price though.
Arrived at our hotel, Sense Hotel Seminyak! It was a pleasant and clean hotel. We took a nap 'cause we were tired from the early flight and when we woke up we were so hungry!
We settled for a random restaurant just a few metres down from our hotel!
The service there was awesome, prices were affordable, and ambience was good but Singapore's maggie goreng is much nicer! Just had Al Ahmeen's last night, not as nice as Mr Prata's which is my current favourite, but still pretty good! Oops, digressed.
After filling our tummies, we headed to Sisterfields cafe that has many good reviews online! Should have just gone there straight on hindsight.
Ordered these pancakes which are not too bad, but not my kind of pancakes. I think I prefer cheap pancakes? Like Macdonald's hotcakes, my favourite. These might have been too fluffeh.

We then headed to the legian beach!

So our plan was to chill somewhere with wifi, and watch the national day parade. So patriotic right!! Visited another recommended place, Kudeta! Thought it would be really expensive, but it was affordable, and we managed to get beach beds after waiting around for a while! I think you just have to order a minimum of one cocktail per beach bed! For the number of hours we lounged there, think it was pretty alright!
It was super chill just lying there sipping on our cocktails, enjoying the sea breeze! And of course, watching the NDP haha. I remember feeling a little left out 'cause many people were wearing red and white and celebrating Singapore's 50th back in Singapore! I actually brought a red dress I intended to change into for the night, but I eventually didn't. Hurhur.
Brought a selfie stick, so a lot of photo taking was going on.
When night fell.
After Kudeta, we headed to Ultimo for dinner! It's a very popular italian restaurant, we had to wait 30-40 minutes to get seats! The way they took note of who's on the waiting list wasn't very convincing though. They tell everyone to come back in 25 minutes or so, and don't even take down names. They claim to recognise people by the colour of their clothes. I think it's best to hang around and keep asking when your seats will be ready!
It's not exactly a fine dining place by the usual standards, but to us it was quite atas! Service was good, and food was yummy! Will go back again next time!
