Shimin thinks skydiving is less scary than flying(cheerleading).
.
Omg how can that be! Hehe. I wanna sky dive one day too. But i think i'll be too freaked out to jump off the plane.
.
Actually that's not the main thing i wanted to blog about.
.
We had our second group stunts training just now! This time, both papa and mama know I'm still cheering. Don't know if it's good or bad. Last time when I was training for bkk, i kinda kept it from them and felt really bad about it. But at least if they don't know, they won't worry right? Now I'm not keeping anything from them, but i'm afraid they'll be very worried everytime i train :( Oh wells all I can do is be safe and not let them worry!
.
Training was not too bad but i was disgusted by my twist cradles omg. Thought twisting left my problem but i realised i totally can't twist right from heelstretch either. Yuckks must totally work on it. Oh and i strained the weirdest muscle! Felt this sharp pain in right side of my stomach when i tucked ouchh. Now i can't use my stomach muscles without feeling the pain. Even when i cough omg. Maybe my abs not strong enough. Haha must do more crunches and v sits alr. Must aim to get six pack like the taiwan flyers! Omg i jus sneezed, damn painful. :((

Day 4 and last day in bkk!! :((

Day 4 in BKK was r&r day! [Lazy to download calv's photos and edit them together so i'm linking them directly from facebook!]

We had lunch at A&W 'cause weeps wanted. Actually considering A&W closed down in Singapore, i ate A&W quite a number of times the past few years. In batam, bangkok, batam again, and.. oh bangkok again. And I'd say I don't particularly miss A&W or find the food that fantastic anymore.

Still enjoy the rootbeer float though :)

After lunch, the whole day before dinner was spent at platinum!

Counting money to pay warn for the accomodation! We look damn rich :P

Although I describe it as the whole day spent at platinum, one whole day wasn't enough! I totally didn't shop or buy enough! Too slow too. Yeng was the only one w lotsa buys!
Look how happy yeng and weeps are! I had only.. one bag of buys maybe? Shiqi and I panicked after our food break and frantically shopped for the last hour or so. Luckily i managed to find two dresses!

MV and Warn damn sweet again, bought all of us handphone chains that said K*R!

After shopping at platinum, it was time for the dinner treat by yeng's parents! It was at this really nice traditional thai restaurant!

The restaurant had very nice decor with antiques and portraits of past kings [which freaked me out a bit to be honest]. The second level was a studio of some sort, with traditionally furnished rooms.
Model-wannabes haa.

The food was super duper YUMMMYY!! Oh gosh i wanna go thai express NOW. HUNGRYYYY. Tom yum goong, green curry, spicy kangkong, papaya salad, crab-dunno-what. OMGGG. Miss the food so much :((

Thankyou yeng's mummy and daddy for the realllyy nice dinner!!

We wanted to go pratunam market after dinner but the whole street was empty!! :( Think all the stalls from the earlier shift had left and the stalls for the midnight shift hadn't started setting up yet. Oh well. First time in bkk without shopping at pratunam! Sad.

MV and Nut brought us to a new shop though! Naraya!! To be honest I've never really heard of this supposedly pretty famous thai brand. The first time i heard was earlier that day when we met yod at platinum. We thought it was some luxury bags brand so we weren't very interested in going, but we realised the bags and pouches inside were pretty affordable!

Got a coin pouch for mama, packet tissue covers for myself and friends and a pencil case for ming! All very sweet and cute! :)) Nut, shiqi and i were happy with our buys! :D

We were supposed to meet dew and toy (whom we met while drinking the day before) to go clubbing but i don't know what happened and we decided to go ourselves! We went back to hopeland to dress up for the night! Luckily i managed to get a dress or i'd be uber under dressed 'cause i didn't bring anything appropriate! Was super happy the dress fit. :)

We spent the longest time at the hotel lobby waiting for nut and non to decide where we should go. It was Gay Bar vs Expensive Bar. Guess which we chose?

We chose the expensive one! Think all of us especially the guys were pretty scared of going to a gay bar 'cause the gays in thailand are very very friendly and we aren't exactly very comfortable with them!

So after getting lost on the cab for a while, we finally arrived at desco pub/club! But to our horror we actually needed our passports to get in. AND slippers weren't allowed (Weeps was wearing slippers.) Omg thank goodness after a little while the bouncers relented and decided to let us in. However that little while was enough to send some heads turning when we entered the pub and i was just a littleeee bit scared. Like what if there were thais who didn't like foreigners and hated us for causing the commotion? Haha. But i was jus thinking too much la. Nothing happened.

We got a table and cozy couches to ourselves! :) There was a live band there and thai music is nice! I like.

I think the club was pretty atas 'cause we met an actor there!! But frankly speaking i don't think he was that good looking la. Shiqi thought he was though :P She even took an individual photo with him afterwards! Haha.
Girlies.

Clubbing in bangkok (or at least at that club we were at) was kinda different 'cause most people just danced around the table, there wasn't really a dance floor i think? Felt a little silly hahaa.
Anyway, this was not only my first time clubbing in bangkok, but my first time playing 猜拳while drinking too haha. And the first time i drank so much in my entire life, although the so much is really not a lot by normal standards. But it was enough to make me not detest the taste of alcohol, actually wanna drink more (wth!) and a little giddy. Haha.

But obviously there were people more drunk that i was.

Deardear NUT! On her way to getting very very drunk.

Edward took a photo with some random chio bu! Actually she looks quite familiar leh! Maybe she's some artiste too!

Nut and calvin totally sehh! But nut was worse! It was the silly girl's first time clubbing and she has low alcohol tolerence but she kept drinking towards the end and got damn drunk! Felt quite bad after that 'cause altho she's from bkk, she's younger than us afterall! We should have taken care of her better.

Calv kept insisting that he wanted to send nut back home after that although MV was definitely less drunk than him! So edward and calv took a cab with mv and nut back to her home. We knew that they stayed very far away but MV claimed that her house was only 10 minutes away! That was the start to the drama afterwards!

The rest of us returned to the hotel. After a damn long time edward and calv weren't back yet and we got worried! Weeps went down to the lobby to wait for them, and when he was away, yeng received a phonecall from MV and from what she understood from his not-very-fluent english, calv and edward were at his hotel with him like whaaaat. We were wondering why the hell they ended up at a hotel! And MV actually called weeps room. Everything just seemed weird and we were damn worried! So we went down to find weeps to ask him what to do!

We didn't have MV's number so we had to call warn (it was already 3+++ am at that time). She didn't have his number so we had to call non to ask! And non added to the drama by saying that calvin, edward and mv were lying?!! Not sure what he was thinking! So anyway we got MV's number and called him back, and this time he explained that calv and edward were on their way back. *Phew*

After waiting for some time again.. they were finally back! But edward dropped his wallet on the cab! Aiyo so eventful la. Poor edward. Oh and calvin said he needed to pee so badly on the cab (and nut's house was uber far away) that he dashed to the toilet once the cab arrived at the hotel. Ahha.

After they came back a few of us spent a while more in weeps room writing notes to our liaisons, and suddenly there was a black out! Damn scaryyy laaa. It turned out that -dramadrama- there was a huge fire around 2km away from our hotel and so the electricity was cut off! And we could actually see the fire from weeps' room! It was really huge! We kept hearing sirens non stop, i think they must have mobilised many many many fire engines! After weeps and i spent some time staring at the fire and talking about how drama our trip had been, we finally went to sleep for the night.

A few hours later, it was time to leave the hotel, bangkok and our newly made thai friends :(( Non and namwarn came to send us off!
Our trip to bangkok wouldn't have been that much fun without our liaisons!

I've always hated leaving bangkok, but this time was the worst! This trip was such a wonderful experience especially with our newly made friends. Although we had only met for 5 days, it felt like we knew each other for years. It was my first time interacting with so many thais, and it just further confirmed my good impression of thais :) They're really the most helpful and friendly people around :) Can't wait to visit BKK again. Til then my thai friends! Loveee.
.
BKK people and place aside, my experience at the cheer comeptition once again proved it rather impossible for me to quit cheer altogether. I guess I'm not ready to let go yet. Not in the near future. :)
