KAYCEE'S BIRTHDAY!

Before I start on my krabi and shanghai posts (if i ever), i shall finish up the shorter posts first!

We decided to go back to greenwood fish market to try their seafood platter since we didn't the last time!

 We couldn't remember if quan mentioned to try the cold or hot platter, but somehow we decided on the cold one! We were probably attracted by the live oysters that we loved so much the last time we were there.


Unfortunately though, I think we made a wrong choice. The food wasn't bad of course, the seafood was fresh and all. But I guess we weren't used to having cold food as our main course for dinner! We got a little sick of it after a while! Nvm, shall try the hot one next time! :D But that should be a pretty long time from now since we've already visited the place twice in three months. Time to explore other places! After dinner, we headed to the helical bridge for an after dinner stroll. Gave kaycee his present on the car!

He immediately guessed what the present was and even got the brand right!

Anyway i didn't actually think it was a good enough present for him, but he's easily contented! :))
Helical bridge & MBS! It was a pretty nice sight!

There were still quite a lot of construction going on though, when all that's done the view's gonna be even nicer!
Some zi pais. I've already realised that my zi pai skills suck so whoever wants to zipai with me, you gotta help me do it k!



Bambi may not be a dslr, but the night shots didn't turn out too bad! At leasti t's not a total blur :D

We were wondering what all these people were looking at..




But we realised they're all fake! Did you realise!!?? It really looked super convincing when we were there and we were totally fooled.
Oh btw, there're these platforms at that stick out from the side of the bridge, and when you just jump a little or even stamp your feet, the whole bridge seems to wobble! It's quite scary/exciting hahaa. Reminds me of that time in secondary school when xinyi, me and a couple of friends walked past the thomson plaza overhead bridge and the bridge started shaking and we all screamed and ran off the bridge.







So after camwhoring on the bridge we headed home!
At 12am sharp I celebrated kaycee's birthday for him! The timing was PERFECT and he was surprised too! So yays to my perfect planning. Ahahaha. The only imperfection was that he had to light the candle himself 'cause i'm not good at that. Oh wells.

World Cup!
After watching world cup matches with thai commentary in krabi, weird chinese commentary in shanghai and some in Singapore, the world cup final was finally here!
I joined the cblockers at boon keng for the final match! Haven't seen some of them in a really long while so it was really nice meeting up with them :D




Most of us were Spain supporters there, and it was fun cheering and cursing together.


For once, I was glad for my odd working hours! While some of them had work the next morning, my monday was free til 6pm! So I could watch with no worries of being sleep deprived the next day!



Xinyi who was wishing for a nil-nil draw at halftime (which everyone disagreed with of course) had a dream come true and won her bet! $12! Sounds little but xinyi if i were you i know i'd be as excited as you :D

So fastforward around one and a half hour later, SPAIN WON!! Weeheee! Finally a team i was really rooting for won! :D:D My favourite player of the night was definitely Casillas, handsome and zai. Loves. So happy to see him shed tears of joy! Hehe. So after we watched the prize presentation we finally went home to sleeeep.


Friday with C Block girliees!
Met shimin at marmalade pantry earlier in the afternoon for tea! Loved the cupcakes! Tea was fine, but I wouldn't spend so much on tea unnecessarily!
After that we headed to orchard central to meet the rest! Went to explore the roof garden while waiting:)




Dinner was at Ootoya! Shimin and I got a queue number earlier on so we expected a shorter waiting time. But the 10 minutes waiting time they told us became a 1hour wait instead. Irritating. Okay la but I took pity in the lady at the door who was shouting out queue numbers til her voice was hoarse.

Here's what I ordered! Just a very small basket of steamed rice with 3 scaollops. It was not bad though, but definitely not filling enough. Didn't really fancy the other food and mostly was meat.

We had milkshake at once upon a milkshake! The shop's pretty cute! Milkshake was not bad, but maybe 'cause I'm not a fan of milk I got sick of mine after a while. Luckily I ordered the mini one!

There're actually 6 of these shots but I didn't bother moving at all 'cause the speed was too fast so I shan't post all 6 :P

Didn't join them for the movie (CAUSE I HAD WORK THE NEXT DAY, SATURDAY), but luckily I had xinyi to go home with me! I remember the days when I took 171 home and she took 174 home, but she always accompanied me to take 171 first. Now we can take the same bus! But we stay further apart :( Enjoyed htht-ing with her on the bus anyhow :)
