Happy 4th birthday KR Steppers!
.
A group so close to my heart,
I wish for all the freshies and future steppers to love KR Steppers as I do, and to fight for KR Steppers all the way.
And of course, I wish that everyone else will understand, accept and come to love KR Steppers too.
.
We're FOUR.
I'm glad I was around 3+ years out of the 4, and experienced all the ups and downs that have made us what we are today.
.
Jiayou KR Steppers!
Happy birthday! :)

BKK DAY 3!!!!

The BKK blog posts are taking me an incredibly long time. Editing the photos takes me a million years already! I finally finished editing the photos for day 3 so i'm going to put them up here first and blog again another time. Please admire and love these photos. So much effort was put into organising them omg.

***

Heloo. Day 3 of our wonderful BKK trip (i still can't get over it miss bkk so much :() It's a super exciting day!

Oh yes, one major thing that happened on day 2 night that i forgot to blog about. While we were having our night practice, May came over to tell us about the judges comments on our performance. The first thing he said was "everything in your routine illegal". Of course we didn't quite believe that and he was kidding. Kinda. Kinda because he told us a very shocking piece news that only one flyer is allowed to fly throughout the entire routine!! Unless we do double cupie. We were all OMG. We actually misunderstood the rule which we thought to mean that at any one time only one flyer is allowed to fly. But the rule actually meant throughout the entire routine! May told us to change to just one flyer instead, using the same stunts, but after some deliberation we decided not to. It's so sad if only one of us flies :( We've already trained pretty hard for the routine it's really sian we have to change it so last minute. We didn't want to want the judges to misunderstand that we were flouting the rules on purpose, so we explained to May and he was very understanding saying it's okayy we can do that, just that we'll incur a huge penalty. So yea that was quite a major sian thing that happened to us during the trip..

So next morning we had to wake up early again! But this time all the other squads seemed to wake up later and we met most of them at the cafeteria. Although we don't quite know the other cheerleaders, i thought it was nice that we were all having breakfast together :)) Well, kind of together.

Shiqi and i doing our hair! I realised we didn't take photos of us getting prepared the day before (like we usually will in KR dance room), so i decided to take some photos! Check out our funky super high pony tail especially my crazy one.

That day we decided to put on our glittery star! We woke weeps up from his nap to help us with the star and he very kindly did without complaining! THANKYOUUS. :D Look at the photo below and let me know the star on whose head is nicer!

Yay we felt happy with the glittery star on our heads :)) One of the jap girls told me the star was kawaii and i was so happy! Happy 'cause she thought it was kawaii and happy we kinda 'talked'. Although the conversation just went 'point-->kawaii!!', me, 'hehee thankyouuuu!!! :D:D:D'

While waiting for our turn to compete, we saw some little girls practising! They were so cutee and the way they were trained was very cute too. Their coach will remind them to shake their heads and act cute. And when the girls kneeling down were in the wrong position, the coach would just pick them up (literally) and place them at the correct position! Their mini tights were damn cute also. Haha. Paedophile.

These bumble bee girls only had the furry thing on one side of their shoulder the day before, now they have two! Typical of the thai girlies, they weren't very smiley for the camera. :(

Some competition photos yay! Thanks to non :) Sadly, the routine was pretty bad again, but slightly better than before. Oh wells! We tried our best!

Oh yes the competition was live on TV on the second day! I think. Not sure if our category was too too, but haha look at the big screen on the right. Quite cool. But of course totally not cool when the stunts were shaky or failed :(

Next up was chinese taipei! The mixed group stunts champs! Their routine is A-MAZ-ING. Loved it. Super zai. Their video's here . Hope you can view it! Every stunt from start til end was so kickass. Especially loved the handstand on hands pop to extension! And the double cupie tick tock. And all the b tosses, oh and the dismounts. Basically, everything!!

Next up was japan!! They were fantastic too of course! With everyone's favourite flyer mochi flying, and the shuai jap guy being the main base. Her scorpion is just about two billion times better than mine you can go compare if you want. Hurhur. And her scale looks like a heelstretch! Notice it's a girl base doing the single lib in the bottom right photo!

Right after they performed we ran after them for a photo before they returned to their room! It was quite embarassing because we couldn't find a good location to take the photo, non brought us somewhere but it turned out that the door was closed! And we didn't really understand what he was saying so there was a little confusion too. We felt so bad for holding the jap cheerleaders back for so long, but they were very nice about it! And we took such a nicee photo yay!!

We returned to our room after that to camwhore with the poster namwarn veryyyyy effort-ly made for us!!!! I was seriously very touched. It'd only been 2 days since she knew us, and yet she went through so much trouble just to show her support towards us. She waited for the shops to open to buy the markers and paper to make this poster for us! Such a sweetie.

Warn was writing our names in thai at the back of the poster and we were writing their names in chinese :)

We saw another bunch of cutie little cheerleaders and decided to take photos with them! They weren't very keen though -_- Look at most of their black faces in the photos shiqi and i took with them. And i sat on a puddle just to take the photo with them lor! :( 自作多情ba. Heh. Oh wells.

We didn't know we were in a rush to go for lunch and shiqi and i weren't properly clothed haha, so we wore the cheer shirts we bought! I love them! They're all pinkish, super duper sweet and cute. As sweet and cute as shiqi and i. HAHA. I love the following photo a lot!

Shiqi if u're reading this (i'll force you to even if you don't), thanks for being such a great woman, being in this with me, and all the while! Think i would have died without you! And bkk was soo much fun with you around and as my roomie too. Yays :D Just a reminder, you're a FAB flyer and i'm really very proud of whatever you've accomplished. Continue working hard i'm sure you will achieve lots more!

So we headed to MBK for lunch! Omg just look at the amount and variety of lokchubs in the photo below! Actually they all taste exactly the same and just differ in colours, but still, so pretty!! Namwarn knew we wanted to eat those and bought for us again! Sweet to the max.

We had lunch at cocoichi! A restaurant which serves mainly japanese curry rice! Not bad quite yummy :)

Love hanging out with the steppers and our liaisons :)

Back at the stadium, we watched vanquish practise! They seriously look like they don't get tired repeating the stunts again. And mind you, these stunts include double up to 2-2-1, double christmas tree etc etc. We were quite excited to see the double christmas tree since we did the single one before ahha. Just that theirs is so much more difficult, toss up to shoulder sit :O.

The rangsit guy below is Chang! The very nice one i mentioned two posts earlier that we met on the first day! And two zai rangsit flyers too! I'm a fan of the one on the right 'cause she's damn cool and damn zai. I love her double twist cradle from scorpion. She finishes the spins in like half a second second and it's super tight and neat!

This little girl below is the main flyer of the Swan team! She's super tiny!!

With troy(i think) the guy who was in charge of the international teams.

The girls from titanz were very friendly! Many of them asked us for photos and we took a million with them :) They're from malaysia and so there was this sense of familiarity! :)
A few more random photos while waiting at the stands :)

Soon it was time for the open category teams to perform. OMG we were SOOOO HIGHHH!!

First up was aces that i (and prolly shiqi) screamed our lungs out for, and then the next few teams were also damn zai teams which we love and support! And their performance was so exciting i was screaming and clapping throughout all their performances. Seriously. My throat was kinda sore and hands kinda stinging after that. But it was worth it! It's really such a great opportunity we got to watch these cheerleaders perform :)

The japanese team performed better than the day before and they were so super duper happy after their routine! Just look at the photos below! I could totally feel their happiness from where i was sitting! :)) So happy for them :)

Soon it was time for the cheerleaders to gather downstairs! As the competition was aired on tv live, we had very little time to get down, i think it was probably during some commercial, and so oat and some other people were barking at all the cheerleaders to get down! It was quite funny seeing all the cheerleaders running down and into the stadium.

We were standing right beside the little cheerleaders so i couldn't resist taking photos with them again! Love those who don't mind smiling for the camera haha. Award ceremony!!

We got a trophy too! For being third place in the international mixed group stunts category! We were happy enough despite there being only three groups. :) It was a an honour and a great experience.

Japan got 2nd! Omg the shuai ge stood next to me. Haha and we took a couple of great photos with the two japanese! The girl's super cutee too :)

One more photo! Loves it.

All three international mixed group representatives! Taiwan got first :)

Group shot with a bunch of cheerleaders from everywhere! Weeps and i felt like stars 'cause lotsa people were snapping away like crazy! Haha. And it just felt kinda magical standing next to the japanese :P

Yay reunited with our teammates! A happy group shot with our trophy! (This marks the start of the crazy photo session!)

With our liaisons! Wouldn't have survived without them!

A photo with Team Japan! May said it is an honour to be able to compete with the the Japanese team, and they truly show what cheerleading is all about. I can't agree more.

With chinese taipei! I'm not sure if it's the same team as the one that competed in CAIO 2008, but i really thought they improved a lot from then!

I really look up to the taipei flyers! All of them can tumble and they're superb flyers. Not forgetting to mention all of them have super defined abs! Steppers flyers please jiayou!

Haha we took photos with our eye candies! From taiwan and japan! Shuai la and cute la. :P I think the guy's called ogachi. Hahaa. We were not the only wants who thought he's cute. A million other people (mostly guys i would say) thought so too.

Photos with deaf bases, a shy little girl and an aces flyer! Yilyn i think! :)

Oat!!! So happy to see him there, and so proud of him for having organised the whole competition. Must have been very tiring!!

With rangsit cheerleaders!!! After so many failed trips to rangsit, we finally get to meet them 'close up'! (excluding the time we met them at the corridors of the dorm in japan) I really hope i can follow steppers to rangsit when they go in december!! Really really really want to! Like really really. :(

MOCHIIII!!!! We all took photos with her yay! All of us love her to bits. She's the cutest zai-est flyer!
With warnnn our biggest supporter :)
And harry who's really quite talented in basing! Haha. He managed to lift shiqi and i to his shoulders himself!
I love KR Boing lots!
Did a cupie with zhaoming! Doing partner stunts with bases from other squads still freaks me out quite a bit 'cause i seldom stunts and am really lousy at it. But it's still a good experience i guess!
Cupie with weicheng, shiqi's single lib with kah weng, and i did single lib with erm daniel i think? The guy i recognise as 'the judge'.
We girls doing some partner stunts ourselves! Heheee. I really love basing leh. My secret wish is to compete in all girls as a base.

With team SUT! They gave us a souvenier! :D
MAYYYY!!!! So happy to seee him tooo. He, like oat had been very busy with the competition. Hope he got enough rest after that! Miss him alreadyyy! :(

A photo with both of them! Loveeeee.
On hands with my first to hands/partner stunts base calv! :D

A couple of girls including nut wanted to try flying! So being the nice friendly bases our steppers bases are, they let them try! Omg but it was kinda a wrong decision because so many people.. at least four or five came up to them to try without really asking! And the ultimate was when this lady boy aka ah gua aka tranny just stepped into their hands without saying anything OMMMMMMMMMMMGGGGG. HAHAHHAHAHHAHHA. They had no choice but to lift him/her up!! Dammmnnnnn funnnyyyy.

With captain weeps! Weeeeps your partner stunts really improved a lot, continue jiayou-ing kay!! :D:D And thanks for letting me have the chance to compete at the ATCI :))
Group photo with ACES!! It was nice getting to know them a bit more for the first time! 'Cause we were in a foreign country, it felt like we were all from the same team! :)) Oh yessss. Forgot to thank them for being the only ones cheering for us before our performance! Hahaa. They love the K-K-K-K-R cheer.

With hongkong cheerleaders! They did shoulderstands on the aces girls and i was very very jealous! I wanted to stunt with them too! Haha. But too shy too ask, and many of them looked horrified on shoulder stand.
After the crazy photo taking, it was time to go back to our hotel to wash up before we went for the post competition dinner! I felt a little bit sad leaving the stadium, knowing the whole competition was over. :(
So anyways the dinner was at Asia Hotel! And it was so much fun!!! All the countries had to go up to perform, thank goodness sont from aces represented singapore so we were spared! And he put up such a funny entertaining performance! Click here to watch! Haha it was even more entertaining 'cause of the thais. Especially the gay thais. Haha. He sang the following song! Shiqi and i are now in love with the song and we're gonna learn how to sing it.
And all the other countries put up fantastic performances too! The best would have to be the cheerleaders from the host country!! They really made everyone damn high with their super zai dancing. Haha.
Some short clips to remember the great night!
Look at how high everyone is including the Japanese coach who usually seems pretty stern!
Yod boogie-ing!! :D
Nobody nobody but you! Hahahaa. I was as high as xinyi is when she heard this song at hall bash i think :P The rangsit cheerleaders are damn cute.
After that someone from thailand went up to sing (she can sing damn well), and got everyone to dance together! One of the rangsit cheerleaders came to ask for Calvin's hand, hahaha to dance with him. And soon everyone was damn high clubbing in room (with the lights on!) Hahaa. Look at mochi dancing in the middle of the circle below! Heheee. It was the first time we saw the japanese cheerleaders so relaxed 'cause they always looked so disciplined and serious.
When you're having fun, time really flies. So soon it was time to leave the hotel! We headed to suan lum night bazaar next! It was a little bit disappointing 'cause i heard that the market was damn happening and nice to shop. But it's okay at least i've visited the place once!

We met Chang and he invited us to join him and his friends for drinks! I had a cup of beer to myself for the first time haha. It's my first time cheers-ing for so many times, holding my own beer. Haha. Uber sua gu. And i was quite paiseh when they sud-soi (bottoms up) and i couldn't finished mine! In fact i never did finish the beer. =X

Last photos for the night before we we headed back to our hotel!

Oh yes after we returned to the hotel, we met some of the japanese bases at the lobby! Nut very garang-ly went to ask one of the japanese (her eye candy) to stunt with her! He was very nicely agreed and used brute force he to lift her up to hands, and oh dear we could all tell that nut was super super super scared! And to my surprise he went up to extension! Nut couldn't take it anymore and crumbled but of course one of the japanese guys caught her. She was in total shock after that, she hugged me for one whole minute and she was trembling like mad. She stayed that way for very long and we were all so worried for her! The japanese guys hung around, kept asking her if she's okay, and even tried to made her laugh! Think it's so nice of them, as one of the world's best cheerleaders (imho) to gladly agree to some random girl's requests, and be so concerned for her and all! Anyway after some time nut more or less recoverd and everyone went back to rest!
That marks the end of our exciting third day in BKK :))
(Omg it's 3.30am now and i gotta wake up in 3+ hours to send ming to school)

Love, ja
