Maldives Day 2!

Goood morningg! Merry christmas!

Christmas day was a rainy day :(
All over the island you see people fighting for umbrellas, stealing others' umbrellas 'cause there weren't enough to go around. Those who didn't have umbrellas were wrapped in towels. We had nothing much to do so we played table tennis!

The sky's so gloomy :(

Chilling at the beach bar, wearing my shades that were finally broken. [They cost less than 10 bucks and has been abused by me] I was actually quite sad 'cause that was my favourite pair of shades!

Ming and I couldn't join the snorkelling trip on time, so we decided to just explore the beach just outside our room.

I took this pic for ming and she was supposed to take the same one for me... before i jumped out of the water!

I saw a baby shark! Or rather many baby sharks! And I was quite scared at first 'cause they go really really close to you!

We spent a long time there taking photos of the sharks. Everytime the sharks came to close I'd squeak and they can actually hear me! They'd hurriedly swim away!

Anyway we found out that it is very common to see baby sharks around the island! They keep to the shallow waters for safety1

Christmas dinner! Lotsa pretty macaroons!

Loved the colour theme of that night. White and blue. I brought white and blue clothes but they were too formal so i decided not to wear :(

I wore orange instead! So off right!

Anyway i was SO BLOATED, i looked like i was 3 months pregnant (at least)

Played mahjong while sipping on the mocktail! (I'm too lousy didn't have any cocktails)

(Very) Random Yummies

.. that we cooked/prepared at home! Most of them require minimal skill, but they were yummy enough and satisfied our cravings!

CP Shrimp wantons! Top shell! With chilli padi! Mmm mmm.

Top shell again, this time with lemon chilli sauce to go with! And some herbs marinated salmon :D

My favourite ikanbilismaggiegorengspicy!! But this is not from fongseng, it was prepared by us at home! Looks just like the one at fongseng (or better) ya? Hehee it tasted not bad too!
Btw, we cooked 5 packets of maggie mee AND we finished all the noodles! Heh. Very nice little meal together :)

Simple food, simple pleasures in life.
