I'm gonna blog about my jobs AGAIN. Bear with me, but my jobs are the only things that keep me occupied these days anyway. My mother was telling me about how her friend boasted about her daughter earning 1.2 k a month, doing a clerical job. I admit that the high pay is a little attractive to me but at this age and time, I think I'd rather be doing something I enjoy rather than something which is higher paying but totally boring. After graduating from university [if i ever graduate], I don't think I'll have the time do work at a dipshop scooping ice cream and serving customers. Btw I do enjoy serving customers except for the occasional rude customers and pain in my wrist. Ya so I'll probably have to start looking for the highest paying job related to whatever I'm gonna study in uni. It'll be inevitable 'cause I'd be working to support myself financially. While now I admit, I'm still very dependent on my parents. This period, after A's and before uni, is possibly the only time we can look for whatever jobs we want. So yes, although my pay is a meagre $4.50/hr. And I'd perfectly warmly welcome a pay rise, I still love my scooping job. 'Cause of the nice people, the nice environment and the yummy ice cream. Of course I love my coaching jobs too! Especially the one at nyps. Coaching at nyps and ofs are really different. At nyps, the students are mostly chinese while the students at ofs are mostly caucasians. So I coach using english+chinese jumbled up at nyps, and english at ofs. I coach ~20 students at nyps and 5 at ofs. Okay actually there are many more differences but i shan't go into detail. Coaching at nyps was quite okay on monday besides embarassing myself in front of the whole class of students 'cause I jumbled up some steps of some moves I were teachin them TWICE and feeling lousy for not being able to even do a proper straddle jump. But most of the students were quite serious in learning the yi4 bu4 qi3 tiao4 I was teaching them. And though not all of them got it, I felt proud of the few who did. (: And proud of the others for trying. Plus glad they enjoyed running and jumping on the spring board. Heh the cute and sometimes frustrating thing is that every week someone either loses his water bottle, her socks, or someone wears another kid's shoes by mistakes. Coaching at ofs today was more of a success compared to last week. Although the same girl did not surprisingly change into the obedient girl I hoped she'd be, she was a little better. And instead of hoping and wondering when the lesson will ever end, I actually had too little time do teach them everything I planned to. Oh I did planning last night and this morning so that I'd be less lost when coaching them! Now I have a long list of stuff for them. Yays. But I hope next week would be better still! Oh and I hope the person in charge will tell me about my pay soon :( Haha I'm still money-minded after all.
