Competition Day 2 [Bremen day 5!]

Xuewei and I were hairstylists for each other! Made each others' ponytail really huge haha. Steppers girls if you want hair like that for performances next time, i know how to do le! Just that it's really tedious!

Pretty german cheerleader :)
Make up and hair done!

The result of my hard work :P

The result of xuewei's!

After we were done with hair and make up, it was time to go join the other cheerleaders outside for photo taking!

The guy on the right injured himself during first day's competition, hope he's recovered and is feeling better now!
Taiwanese gymnast shuai ge!

Sginapore, germany, taiwan :)

Cute german cheerleaders!

I exchanged shirts with mochi! So happyy i got to exchange with someone i really admire :D
Japanese cute guy!

Kazhakstan flyer! She gave xuewei kazhakstan chocolates :)

Kazhakstan and us!

Random group photo!

Japan mixed team captain!

Shiqi do you remember him? He's the funny guy who showed nut a picture of the cute guy and used it to kiss her when she was in shock. Hahaa. He looks like a nice guy :D

Qiqi! One of the coaches of taipei! (i think)

With the kids holding all the signs and flags! They're all cheerleaders! :)

German cheerleaders! Two japanese eyecandies! Ahha.

Very tall chinese cheerleader! She looks like she's standing on something but she's not! At the entrance area of the stadium there were stalls selling cheer merchandise! Bought a customised T shirt with the rest and a pair of cheer track pants! :)

Spectators were starting to pour in, asking us for photos and autographs, xuewei and i escaped after a while! Haha i'm sounding like we were huge stars. It's just 'cause they don't get much chance to meet the competing cheerleaders up close la.

With thai cheerleaders! Chinese base!

Russian guys! (i think)

Japanese base! Met him in bangkok too :)) Stunted with him afterwards, read on to see the photo :D

Time for the opening ceremony!

Thank goodness our flag is fine now! Haha.

Nice seeing our flag fly high! Hee :D

Back to the changing room for lunch!

With the hongkong girlies this time!
Kelvin joined in late and when he walked in there were a few girls who were v shocked and exclaiming that kelvin and zhaoming look alike. Haha. Alike meh??
Soon it was time to start warming up! I like these shots of us stretching :)

With joe! Joe helped us so much throughout the competition! He helped us play music and also spotted at times. Such a nicee guy :))

OAT!! =D

With the danish (i think) cheer dancer who has stayed in singapore before! Although I did feel a bit better doing the stunts on the second day, our warmups didn't exactly go veryvery smoothly and it was pretty worrying. I was also in a semi blur state, thinking we were going for a rehearsal rather than the real competition! I was frantically trying to get myself out from the blur/sleepy/stone state.

.

I'd say pressure was higher the second day 'cause we really wanted to perform a better routine than the previous day. It got a little worse watching the teams before us up their difficulties and perform great routines, and hence getting high scores. But I'd say I still felt less scared and nervous, more confident that day. Bearing in mind may's words that morning, i was very determined to perform a good routine with a huge smile!
.
And we did! Don't know where I got the sudden burst of energy but I was very high and happy throughout the routine and smiled/laughed all the way. Everyone did great and we hit all stunts up! SOOOOO HAPPYYY! The feeeling was really.. out of the world! Hahaa. To have enjoyed the performance, smiled at may all the way (hahaa i was really just looking at him most of the time) and most importantly achieve our aim of ASU. Omg. Happiness :)) I remember telling xuewei that the one routine that I had performed before which I was most satisfied with was our all girls routine this year, but I think our routine that day beat the all girls routine. :D Which means I was just really really happy and satisfied 'cause our all girls routine was already very very fantastic!

While waiting for our scores we got interviewed. And I can proudly tell the steppers that I didn't just say 'It's very fun!!!' this time. :P The lady asked when was our most memorable moment during our stay in Bremen, it was definitely while performing the routine. Loved it.

Or you can watch the one that was live telecasted online
here!

I just re-watched the you tube video and realised there were many people cheering for us. It's so nice for them to cheer for teams other then those from their own country :] I think their cheers made the whole experience even better :D
..
Our final score for the second day of competition totally exceeded our expectations! We got 108 (i think), a very pleasant surprise!! :D It was then we started thinking if we had a chance for a third position, and we did! I never expected to get a top three position right from the start and ASU was all I wanted, but winning the third place was no doubt a very very huge bonus! :D I guess luck played a pretty big role in our win too though. The koreans were great but slightly unluckier on the second day, failing their last stunt and losing to us by a mere 0.5. :( Felt really bad about it and things were a bit awkward for a while, but they were really nice about it and congratulated us. :)
.
After that it was time to sit back and enjoy the show put up by the other teams!
Spectators!

German supporters cheering their team on!
Very cute bambis cheering the Japanese teams on :)

Japan's crazy scores!
We really won the third place. Kinda unbelievable until now! Good job team singapore!! :D We did it!
After the award ceremony, it was time for crazy photo taking! I learnt from the rest to be brave and asked to take stunt photos with bases from the different countries!
Kang Hoon from Korea!

Our bases stunted with korea's flyer too! I can't remember her name but this girl is really friendly and cute! Kinda miss her :( She works as a stunt-woman in korea! How cool right!

With Izak from Korea!!
Single lib with cute japanese base!! AHHH :D Xuewei doing cupie with THE japanese shuai ge!

Cupie! And two japanese shuai ges spotting me! How honoured la hehheee. Oh and one shuai ge from singapore too la ahha :P
More photos yay :D

A photo with china's flyer! She's so pretty! Even the way she stands is so poised!
Cupie with china's base! Btw during warm ups we saw the china bases holding cupies for super super long without moving at all. Wow.
Yay cupie with chang! Favourite base from RSU/thailand!

Kelvin and tiny maggie! She's so cute la.

Posing on the stage. We're not number 1 but just posed in the middle for a nice centralised photo :P Too bad the photo's a little blur :(
With a german cheerleader! :)With handsome may in a suit! :D
I seriously feel that without his presence and encouragement that morning, I wouldn't have been able to perform well on day 2! So manymany thanks goes to him!

Of course not forgetting oat. May and oat are the best coaches ever :D Love them. So much of what I've achieved in cheer goes to them!
Joy :)

Stunt photos on stage~

Xuewei cupie-ing me! She looks super cool la! So strong :D
I only dared to do extension 'cause I was afraid her feet wouldn't be able to fit on my small hand! Can someone help me photoshop the guys away from these two photos? Heh.

Us with the whole bambis team! They're so cute with the huge blue ribbon on their heads! Us with the Japanese mentor! (or something) I just know she's someone whom the japanese cheerleaders respect a lot!
With ya lin the uber zai taiwan flyer! Her b tosses are seriously the best in the whole world. I really really really think so, and she does them to effortlessly! I exchanged shirts with her!
With jieling another taiwan flyer :))

Xuewei and I didn't have time to stunt with the European bases so we decided to stunt with this slovenian guy outside the stadium! Although both of us didn't really want to earlier on 'cause he's look like an ex-convinct or something hahhha. But omg, he's damn strong!!
We went up to him to request to do double cupie with him (who in the world will agree to such a request), but he did!! OMG! And he did it himself! He held the both of us at hands level, then pressed up to cupie! With no assistance at all! Omg crazy! After that I had new found admiration for him, instead of fear haha. He's really funny too! Kelvin asked them if he could do extension with one of the flyers, and instead of that, they made him fly and do an extension instead! :P
After that xingwei asked the crazy base to single base kelvin, and he did with xingwei instead. Hahahhaa.
Thei thais were having a picnic just outside the stadium! Hahaa how cool la. And they invited us to join it! :D Walking through the train station! Last few moments in our hair and make up so we had to take more photos :P

Rossman! The circle sign i'm holding is actually a CD. Thank goodness rossmann sold CDs and
saved us from a disaster. That night we decided to have some chinese food to reward ourselves! So we ate at china wok :)

Start of the photowhoring session with xuewei back at our hotel room!

I was supposed to go bathe already, but just before I removed my hair tie I realised I hadn't taken enough photos so I went out and we started taking photos again! hahaha.

It took us many tries to get the perfect shot!

After a while we decided to get the guys to camwhore with us! Too bad kelvin was the only one who was still in his uniform! If not I think there'd be easily another 20 photos here! Hahaa the process of taking self shots with kelvin was hilarious. We fell a million times!
First we tried shoulder sit(s)

Yay :D
Then thigh stand haha poor kelvin.

My fave photo hahaa.

All the ritter sport chocs i got! Mini celebration with champagne :)
Omg I'm finally done with the post! A million photos and my keyboard's such a pain!
