I've been wanting to watch this movie for ages and finally did today thanks to kc :D The movie sure didn't disappoint, it was really touching, helen the baby fox is real cute, the little boy's cute too. It is probably as good as if not better than the movie Hachiko! I think Japanese films that have got to do with dogs or foxes in this case are all really nice! The 10 promises to my dog too. With the 4th floor girls and emsie! Thankyou mummy for organising movie gatherings so i can see all of you :D Well the movie was nice enough I guess, although I did not fall head over heels over it. I've almost forgotten the whole of the story, and even confused it with Wizard of Oz for a moment =X
As different as the movies are, there was common lesson learnt from them two. Which is that whatever seems impossible might not be that way. As in Helen and the Baby Fox, as long as you put in your heart and soul into accomplishing it, something impossible is possible. Whereas in Alice in Wonderland, it's more dreaming big and believing? Not quite sure if that's the intended message, but that's what I feel I guess.
Ming and I were so excited while approaching the island. So pretty, a patch of white sand in the middle of the deep blue sea! We were the firsts to jump off the boat (we really jumped) to camwhore before the other tourists flooded the island! The two of us had the whole island to ourselves for a few minutes!
You can see the waves coming from both sides! That's how little the island is.
Jump shot!
HAHAHA. This model wannabe photo is damn embarassing but i'm posting it here anyways 'cause i love it!
Ming did it too so i wasn't the only one HEHE.
Finally decided to go into the water!
Can you spot the fins sticking out from the water? Dolphins! I think i'm damn lucky to have chanced upon dolphins twice in my life already! Although it was pretty far away this time and they didnt jump into the air.
We visited a local village after that! Fishermen with their catch!
The glorious sun was out and glowing! The buildings were all so colourful, love the vivid colours!
Some of these compos were really cute. I remember a few writing about how much they adore their home maldives! Made me wanna be a maldivian kid.
Did you know that Maldivians are almost 100% muslim? Ladies had to wear clothes that covered our shoulders and knees hence my outfit! (Which i find pretty nice :P) I later realised that the maldivian men wore scarves round their waists just like i did.
Love the colours.
Before we left we saw the fishermen processing the fish! That pool of red stayed in the water for very long. Icky.
I think I have great photography skills. :P Or at least i choose to think i'm better than ming. That's why i'm posting a photo of her(i took) instead of myself(she took)! :P
Back at kani island! All the disappointment we felt towards maldives on the first day had almost vanished.
Last lunch at maldives!
Good try korkor!
We kayaked again!
Lifted off the water!
The bird's eye view from the plane was breathtaking. Not exaggerating! Think the scenes were some of the most beautiful I've ever seen!
I have a confession to make though, a few seconds after the plane rose above and lagoons, islands came into view, I thought i was looking at the whole of maldives already 'cause everything was so tiny!
We could see exactly the separation of the shallower and deeper waters! Damn cool!
Love it.
The airport! See how short the runway is! I remember the plane(that we took from singapore to maldives) being really realy close to the water before we landed!
Male, capital of maldives!
Everything looked so tiny, looks like a minature model!
Rings like these were one of my favourites!!
