Beijing, China — Shawn Johnson wants to see one thing in Tuesday’s Olympic balance beam final: eight perfect performances.Of course, she wants the gold medal. But the consummate team player also wants all eight gymnasts to leave the arena with a sense of satisfaction.“I know everybody has given just as much work as I have, or even more,” said Johnson, who will go for her fourth medal after taking silver in team, all-around and floor exercise. “I honestly want everybody to do their best. If anybody falls, it breaks your heart.”

That's so sweet of her!

I'm sure many people secretly hope for their competitors to make a mistake or two to up their own chances of winning, but not Shawn Johnson! (:

I'm really in love with her now. Just a 16 year old but she's got so much in her.

I really hope she'll continue competing for the next few years so that I can keep watching and supporting her!

Some naggers might know that my favourite gymnast before shawn johnson was Svetlana Khorkina from Russia.

Nastia Liukin reminds me a little of her, her physique and grace. But somehow I'm just not that in love with her. I think she doesn't smile enough heh. Khorkina very often had a black face too, but when she smiled she was so beautiful! Especially while perfoming floor (:

Btw, I haven't talked much about the chinese women gymnasts, but I really do love everyone of them too! They all look so innocent, so genuine and sincere.

Underaged or not, I feel they deserved every single medal they got, if not more. My heart really sank watching chengfei cry after her floor routine.

There has been much controversy about the chinese gymnasts ages, but whether or not they've indeed faked their ages, I really don't blame them at all. Blame the country, blame their coaches but please do not blame them. They've trained so hard and done so well, no one should doubt their skills and wonderful performance this olympics especially during the team finals. They indeed deserved the team gold, especially with the team spirit they had and what I thought was lacking in the american team. It was like back in nanyang, when team unity was so important despite many thinking gymnastics is an individual sport.

Yang Yilin, third all around! Read that she hasn't seen her parents for a year since she joined the national team. Hope she and the rest of the gymnasts will be able to meet their family soon.

He kexin! Super adorable too! She carried yang yilin and showed her off to the crowd after she completed her wonderful beam routine. She wasn't the least bit concerned about possibly losing her first placing to yang yilin. Just sincerely proud that her teammate had done a great job. Touching!!

Really didn't regret pangseh-ing people for olympics gymnastics. =D

Had impromptu supper with 6Hers again on sunday night!

Jio-ed by yichao again, as usual. Heh.

And it's difficult to say no when he jios.

But I'm happy to meet 6Hers too lar =D

I was the main driver that night, picking up kim, maomao and xinyi after yichao rode his bike to my house. And I almost got ourselves killed! Okay not almost la. But almost almost.

I was talking to chao while making a right turn and I didn't look out for the cars coming from the opposite direction! Apparently they were quite close 'cause chao shouted "eh XIAO XIN!" And I got stunned and stopped in the way of the first lane from the opposite direction! Then chao woke me up and asked me to hurry up go and I made the right turn safely. *Phew*. Surprisingly the oncoming cars didn't even honk or high beam me. Haha. They have so much faith in me.

We went west coast macs for supper! Fattening fattening. Finished almost a whole filet - o-fish students meal. Despite not having the many suppers in hall, I'm still as fat. Boo.

So after that we went to play at the playground! Pretty reluctant at first 'cause I just bathed before I left home but soon changed my mind. We're really like P6 kids, having races on the flying fox, obstacle races (+ cheating) and spinning ourselves silly then attempting to making a beeline to the lamp post. Xinyi and Kexin were the most hilarious. Spinning on that spinning thingie is really giddifying! I couldn't stand for a while after spinning on it for 10 seconds.

Then we proceeded to the see-saw where we tried to make people fly ha.
