Melbourne and Sydney 2011!



Since it's been so long ago and i have such a huge backlog of stuff to blog about, I shall attempt to choose and post only my favouritest photos and moments!




Melbourne City Tour
We went to this place where you could feed wild birds. I was rather excited about feeding the birds but what I experienced with the cuckatoos was a nightmare!




Once I stepped out with food, all the crazy cuckatoos literally flocked toward me. It was super traumatizing! I thought there were at least 20 surrounding me. They were standing on my shoulder (you can see my sweater being pulled off my shoulder) and arm and their claws were super sharp! I was screaming in pain and shock and our tour guide almost rushed in to save me. But before that I just placed the tray of food on the ground.

The smaller birds were friendlier! Or at least they didn't hurt me with their claws.

We visited a farm where lunch was provided, and everyone had beef and chicken except me! They were so nice to specially cook me a vegetarian lagsane :)









We fed the lambs and cows milk. They were like hungry ghosts.

Don't know what kinda formation is this, but korkor suggested it :P
Papa tried to get a jump shot with us, but failed. We went penguin watching! Weren't allowed to take photos of the penguins though (they are wild) so we made do with the poster. Got pretty deep scratches from the stupid cuckatoos :(

We ate at Taxi, supposedly one of the top 10 restaurants in Melbourne. It was fine dining, but modern style.

Fire engines were dressed up for Christmas and on display!Sydney tower, I think.

 Walked to darling harbour from our hotel on christmas eveKoala! I learnt this trip that it's inaccurate to call these cuties koala bears because they aren't bears.
It just sat there sleeping while a million people took photos with it. And we were allowed to touch it!
 Some funny looking bird that ming and i think has a striking resemblance with one of our uncles hehe

 We took the katoomba railway which is apparently the steepest railway in the world! It was really quite scary when we went onto the carriage and saw how steep it was! It turned out to be pretty fun, just too short :)
 Took the cable car as well while touring the blue mountains

It had been a long time since our whole family when on a long holiday together. Hope we'll do it again soon! It was fun :D
