Been so busy with JP I didn't have time to blog! Busy with the website lately, and after spending hours typing and editing, I get too tired to blog. But our blog content and layout is more or less done!

So here goes!

Our Europe trip last June was really one of our most memorable family trips, 'cause it was our first truly free and easy trip! All the planning of itinerary and booking of train tickets etc really contributed to the experience.

I'm starting with London, which was actually our last destination. Mama and Papa flew back to Singapore after Spain, while the Toh Siblings flew to London! Our main objective was to catch Wimbledon, Federer and Nadal in particular, but they were both out even before we reached London :(

We arrived at London really late, and took a coach to Victoria Coach Station. It was one long and super cold ride! After arriving at the coach station, we took a (london) cab to our hotel for the night!

Room service for supper!

We were supposed to wake up after a couple of hours of sleep to go catch wimbledon. So what happened was that I woke up one hour earlier that the time we were supposed to wake up, washed up, changed up before I realised I set the alarm wrongly. So I went back to sleep, and when the alarm rang again, I didn't bother waking up first since I was already all changed! BUT BUT BUT, both korkor and ming did not wake up. So that was how we missed one day of wimbledon -_-

Our OOTDs for the day! We were standing at this spot where there was free wifi, facetiming mama and papa for a bit!

This was our second hotel! The three of us squeezed across the bed horizontally.

We visited the Victoria and Albert Museum, which has a super nice cafe!

It wasn't even a restaurant, just a self service cafe, and the decor was so beautiful! There was also an awesome pianist playing music for everyone!

I guess we weren't allowed to take photos in the museum, but if I didn't remember wrongly, we quite enjoyed the museum! There was this fashion section that we didn't have time to visit before the museum closed though.

Here's a random bag that I thought wasn't too bad in Mulberry! I was considering whether to get a bag from Europe since well.. we were in Europe. But I just couldn't bear to! So expensive! Guess I'm just not rich enough to part with my money yet.. Hopefully next time I'll be!

Harrods! Looking pretty. But frankly speaking there was nothing in it that really interested us. Too expensive!

Back at our hotel!

Time to go Wimbledon!! I think we left the hotel at 5+am to catch a bus to Wimbledon! We were on the first bus in the morning! We thought we could purchase the london equivalent of an ezlink card on the bus but it turned out that we couldn't! And we didn't have enough loose change! But the bus driver was very nice and let us get onto the train even though we didn't pay the full amount (: Look at all our sleepy faces!

Whee! We finally reached wimbledon! Kinda! This is where we were supposed to queue for tickets!

Check out the queue. People queue over night in order to get a chance of getting tickets to the centre court! Pretty cool, I'd wanna camp overnight one day too (:

Got our queue cards! I was bracing myself for the cold while queuing so I decided to wear my running shoes! Don't know when's the last time I wore running shoes other than for runs!

Warm drinks!

Teehee it was drizzling.

There were people going around selling picnic mats! We got one and made ourselves comfortable (:

After a couple of hours, it was time to.. queue properly! haha. People in the tents were woken up to join the queue!

So many people in the queue. And lotsa wimbledon officials too!

Exciteddddd!!

We didn't manage to get tickets for centre court, but we got tickets for court 2!

Boohooo cannot enter centre court :(

There were many practice courts around, and we saw one particular one where lotsa people were crowding around. And we realised it was Djokovic practising!! Fangirl moment. Although, I'm not exactly a fan of his haha. Just that I've seen him on teevee! Since we didn't have tickets to the centre court, we were quite lucky to have seen him practising!

We attempted to get an autograph but we weren't even close. Haha. He was ushered in by many officials immediately.

This is court 2! Women's doubles semi-finals! If not for Jankovic whom we've seen playing on tv before, we might not even have bought the tickets to court 2! But the match ended up being pretty good and we were rooting for the chinese pair, shuai peng and hsieh su-wei! They were really good and won :D

The famous strawberries and cream! I'm not a fan of cream usually, or sour strawberries. But this was really good!
After the women's doubles semi finals, we headed to murray mount, where there was a big screen showing matches being played on the centre court! There were sooo many people there, they even had to stop more people from squeezing onto that little hill!

Look at the number of people! The atmosphere was awesome!
But it wasn't exactly very comfortable sitting on a slope for so many hours! The slope was really very steep, we had to make a conscious effort not to slide down! I have rubbish memory, I think we were watching a quarter final between djokovic (?) and murray, and of course 90% of the crowd was rooting for murray! We were secretly supporting djokovic but couldn't express ourselves too much just in case we get beaten up by the locals hehe. And yes, we were being weird wearing our nadal and federer caps when they were already out of wimbledon! :(

This is where the champions always walk out to meet fans after they win! But all we saw was the president of the tennis association. Not bad lah, I've seen him on tv too. Cheap thrill. Hehe.

Korkor imitating fred perry!

We bought some merchandise from the store, watched an exhibition match (it was hilarious). And then headed home! It was a long long day and we were super tired!

Settled for Asian dinner at a nearby hotel! They served yummy food and most importantly, there was free wifi. Heh.

To be continued!

I'm really excited about the shop. I can't wait to have a place of our own, meet lotsa customers and have more people try our cheesecups. But as the opening of the shop approaches, I get moments of panic attacks. Other than stressing over matters of the shop, it's also the thought of being so caught up with the shop and having no more time to do anything else.. It's not like we're gonna die, but xinyi and i have a list of things we'd like to do before the shop opens, like a bucket list haha. So I guess my point is, I shall blog about the Europe trip before the shop opens!! Shall start from London, since I already wrote in my travel journal while I was in Spain. Got a little lazy while in London. I have absolute goldfish memory, so I realised to remember my trips, I really gotta write about them somewhere! I already forgot most of what happened in London, but hope the photos will remind me!

Be happy.
