Fixing the mini bbq pit!
The bbq pit booked was literally just sixteen concrete slabs on a patch of grass. Nothing else. Fortunately for us though, pearlyn's daddy very kindly brought us the portable mini pit and jingting brought aluminium boxes for us to bbq over. If not we'd be left pinicking on uncooked food.

Met up with a few 6Hers yesterday. Attendance wasn't that great 'cause some people were not free, stucked in camp or just didn't bother coming maybe. But it was good catching up with just them few. We had dinner at cafe cartel and sat at the couch xinyi always wanted us to sit at. Only she wasn't there heh. Forgot to take a picture to gek her though.

Many people seem to be getting married recently. Or at least my chem tutor and two of my parents' friends' sons. Attended my chem tutor's church wedding and one of my parents' friends' son's wedding banquet.
All along I thought church weddings are the most romantic and touching and all. At least that's what it seems on tv.. so I was pretty excited about attending the church wedding. Thought I may even drop a tear or two since I'm like the biggest crybaby around. But I was quite disappointed. Maybe I'm just not very appreciative. The whole wedding was long and draggy, and oddly the highlight of the whole thing didn't seem to be the exchanging of wedding vows, saying 'i do', exchanging rings and kissing the bride, the focus seemed off. The fact that it was so cold didn't help either. Oh well but who cares if I wasn't very happy with the wedding. It wasn't my wedding. I'm sure it was a veryvery special day for Mr Goh and his wife. May they live happily ever after!
Then last last night I went for the chinese wedding banquet at orchard hotel. Kind of felt like I was going for prom again, but this time with my parents and sister. I wore my prom dress since it's the only dress I have heh. The ballroom where the banquet was held was so beautifully decorated! With huge classy red ribbons and pretty roses and this pretty candle thing glowing red on every table, with the lights in the ballroom dimmed. I'm bad at describing, but anyhow the ballroom was gorgeous. And so were the bride and groom. It was pretty simple. Basically they walked out hand in hand, dinner was served, their wedding shots were shown, pictures of them from baby til now, they cut the fake wedding cake [i was so sad to learn that the cake was fake], they made their wedding speeches, popped the champagne, yum sehhed. But I thought it was so nice and sweet. And romantic. So I guess you needn't hold a wedding at a church to make it romantic. Besides, the churches in Singapore are the huge, old, beautiful type. I know so not important and so very superficially. But oh well, I'm not a christian and will probably never be one.
Oh yes the groom asked me a really shocking question that night. The drunk groom. He asked me when it was my turn to get married! Like helooo :( I just stupidly told him I'm still very young. Hahaa. I don't even really know the groom so it was so odd for him to ask me such a question out of the blue. Just as he was walking past me. It's quite saddening though, do I look like I'm old enough to get married? *Sobs.
I guess there are a few bad points about wedding banquets. Like the groom's father's friend getting totally drunk and making a fool out of himself and scaring the hell out of people like me. I heard that he was sent home in a cab but he jumped out of the cab while it was moving and he got picked up by an ambulance instead. Hahhhhahahaha. Damn funny. Whoops I'm mean.
Anyways may the bride and groom lovee each other forever and forever too!
